When you introduce a new times table to your child it is useful to start with skip counting. This is when we count in steps other than one, therefore skipping some of the numbers. Skip counting is also known as counting in 2s/5s/10s etc. It will support your child with times tables because as they chant the multiples (the number you make when you multiply one number by another) they become more fluent.
