This is a twist on the traditional dot-to-dot activities. Rather than connecting the dots in a particular order, your child can connect them in whichever order or direction they like to create their own zig-zag monster. Once they have made a monster, they could decorate it by adding eyes, arms, legs etc.

Build Your Own Playdough Maze
This playdough maze is a fun way to introduce the shapes needed to form the Zig-Zag Monster letters. You could draw a zig-zag pattern on the box lid for your child to create using playdough or let your child create their own.

Pipe Cleaner Zig-Zags
Diagonal lines are some of the later pre-writing strokes and can be quite tricky for children to draw. This activity is a great way for your child to explore the shape and direction of the lines while developing the skills needed for holding a pencil at the same time.
