Sophie and Benji both have cutlery with their names engraved on. Benji can work out which set is his because he recognises the B. When he goes to school there might be other children with names beginning with B so I wanted to make sure he could recognise his whole name and not just the initial letter.
I wrote Benji's name on a piece of paper a few times and then dotted other names that start with B in the spaces.
I asked Benji if he could see his name. He said yes and pointed to all of them. So I showed him his name written down on a piece of paper and asked him to see if he could find it.
If he found his name he drew a circle around it but if it was a different name he crossed it out.
