This game is a fun way to encourage children to write as they create their own version of the story.

I used to love making these when I was little. We called them chatterboxes but they are also known as fortune tellers. You fold the paper and then move it using your fingers before opening the flap to reveal a hidden message.

This game is a great way to encourage your child to do some writing. It is similar to the categories game but instead of thinking of objects beginning with a certain letter, we are going to think of objects which are a certain colour. Download the sheets below and see who can think of an answer for each colour. I have included two themes but also include a blank version so that you can choose your own themes.
